Editorial posts now link back into the calculator, guide hub, and pack tables so each article supports the wider Blooket topic cluster.

The February 2026 update was Blooket's biggest balance patch of Q1. New game modes shipped, two packs were added, and the duplicate refund formula got its first major rewrite since launch. If you have been playing on autopilot, your numbers are now stale. Here is the full breakdown.
What Shipped
Three major changes: Crypto Hack launched as a new mode, the Aurora Pack was added at 25 tokens with a 0.08% Legendary rate, and the duplicate refund formula was simplified to flat per-rarity values (no more pack-specific variations).
| Change | Impact | Action Required |
|---|---|---|
| Crypto Hack mode added | New farming option | Read strategy guide |
| Aurora Pack launched | Best Legendary value | Switch farming target |
| Refund formula simplified | More predictable | Refresh calculations |
The Refund Simplification
Pre-February, duplicate refunds varied slightly by pack. Now every Common refunds exactly 5 tokens, every Uncommon 10, every Rare 25, every Epic 100, every Legendary 500 — regardless of pack origin. This makes calculations cleaner and removes a common source of confusion.
PRO TIPThe Trench Truth
The Aurora Pack at 25 tokens with 0.08% Legendary rate became the new meta the day this patch shipped. If you were grinding Space Pack for Legendaries, switch to Aurora unless you specifically want a Space-exclusive Blook.
Compare against later updates: March, April, and May 2026. Run new calculations in the calculator, see refund details in the refund post, or browse current packs.
Bottom line: February 2026 introduced Crypto Hack mode and the Aurora Pack — both still meta as of late May. Always re-run your calculator inputs after major patches; pre-Feb refund math is now outdated.
FAQ
What was new in the February 2026 update?
Crypto Hack game mode, Aurora Pack, and a simplified flat duplicate refund system.
Is the Aurora Pack still meta?
Yes as of late May 2026. It remains the best Legendary-rate-per-token pack in active rotation.
Did the refund changes nerf any Blooks?
No. The new flat values are equal to or better than the old pack-specific values across the board.
Are old February calculations still accurate?
Refund-related ones, yes. Pack-comparison ones may be slightly off due to the May 2026 rate update.
Should I have switched to Aurora immediately?
Yes if you were chasing any Legendary. No if you wanted a specific older-pack Blook.
