Blooket Aquatic Pack Odds: Why the Megalodon Is Harder Than You Think

You're not just chasing a Legendary — you're chasing the rarer of two inside a 0.7% window. Here's the conditional math that every Aquatic Pack opener needs to see before spending a single token.

Blooket Aquatic Pack Odds: Why the Megalodon Is Harder Than You Think
Free Calculator Available

You have been hammering the Aquatic Pack for weeks. You know the Megalodon is a Legendary. You know the odds feel slim. What you probably don't know is that you're not racing against one Legendary threshold — you're competing inside one. Understanding this changes your entire token strategy.

The Two-Legendary Problem

The Aquatic Pack contains two Legendary Blooks: the Baby Shark and the Megalodon. Both live inside the same Legendary rarity window — but they don't share that window equally. Megalodon sits at 0.2% per pull. Baby Shark is approximately 0.5% per pull. Combined, the chance of pulling any Legendary from the Aquatic Pack is about 0.7%.

Here's the cold math that competitors don't show you: even after you pull a Legendary, the odds are 2.5:1 against it being Megalodon. Seventy-one percent of Legendary pulls land on Baby Shark first. You are chasing the rarer half of a lucky event.

TargetDrop RateTokens for 50%Tokens for 90%
Any Legendary0.7%~2,178 tkn~7,238 tkn
Baby Shark0.5%~3,036 tkn~10,098 tkn
Megalodon0.2%~7,612 tkn~25,300 tkn

Those Megalodon numbers assume you are starting from zero collection. If you already own Baby Shark and every Common, the effective cost per pull drops because duplicate refunds offset real spend. Toggle the duplicate switch in the main calculator to see your personal net cost.

The 50% Milestone Is Not Good News

Reaching a 50% chance of Megalodon requires 346 pack opens — roughly 7,612 tokens. That sounds manageable until you realize it means there is still a coin-flip chance you walk away empty. Half of all players who save that much leave without the Blook.

The 90% confidence target — the number where 9 out of 10 players succeed — is 1,151 pack opens, costing approximately 25,300 tokens. At the 500-token daily cap that's about 51 days of consistent farming. The math doesn't lie; it just stings.

Why Megalodon Is Actually a Special Case

Megalodon sells for 250 tokens — the highest sell value of any Aquatic blook. This matters for duplicate refund math. Once you own it, every duplicate Megalodon you pull refunds more than eleven Aquatic pack pulls. Over a long session, this meaningfully lowers the effective cost of your pursuit. It also makes the Aquatic Pack one of the better long-term ROI plays in the game even after you've secured the Legendary.

PRO TIPThe Trench Truth

Never start an Aquatic Pack session unless you have at least 7,600 tokens saved (the 50% threshold). Opening 20 packs on a whim and getting nothing teaches you nothing about odds and costs you real farming time. Use the chase calculator to lock in your budget before you open the first pack. The Aquatic Pack will still be there tomorrow.

Aquatic vs. Other Packs for Legendary Hunting

If your only goal is to pull any Legendary as efficiently as possible, the Aquatic Pack is not your best option. Its combined 0.7% Legendary rate is solid, but individual Legendary targets cost more than they do in packs like Medieval (King at 1.0%) or Safari (Lion at 0.5%). You choose Aquatic specifically because you want Megalodon — not because it's the most token-efficient Legendary source.

Read the full cross-pack comparison in the pack odds comparison post, check the ROI calculator for value rankings, and browse all pack drop tables in the pack hub. If you're still farming tokens to get here, see our token farming guide and token strategy hub.

FAQ

What is the Megalodon drop rate in the Blooket Aquatic Pack?

0.2% per pack open. It is a Legendary-tier Blook that appears in the same rarity window as the Baby Shark (0.5%). Combined Legendary odds are approximately 0.7%.

How many tokens do I need to guarantee the Megalodon?

Nothing guarantees it — probability never reaches 100%. At 90% confidence you need approximately 25,300 tokens (1,151 opens at 22 tokens each).

Is the Aquatic Pack worth opening for the Megalodon?

Only if you specifically want the Megalodon. For general Legendary hunting the Medieval Pack (King at 1.0%) or Safari Pack (Lion at 0.5%) cost fewer tokens per Legendary pull.

How much does Megalodon sell for?

250 tokens. This is the highest sell value in the Aquatic Pack and makes duplicate Megalodon pulls extremely valuable for your token balance.

Does the Aquatic Pack contain any Chromas?

Yes — the Aquatic Pack contains Chroma-tier Blooks at approximately 0.02% each. Use the chase calculator for Chroma-specific token budgets, as they require significantly more tokens than even a Legendary chase.
